Tier 1 Dependent and accommodation query

Post by jais001 » Wed Jun 01, 2011 9:20 pm

I am in UK since Feb 2011 now I want to apply for dependent visa for my wife and one kid. My query is related to maintenance of fund and accommodation requirement.

1. I am in UK from last 4 month so do I have to maintain 2800+1600+1600 or it will be 800+1600+1600. As of now I am maintaining 4000 pound in my salary account.

2. Presently I am staying in a shared accommodation, so do I have to take a house on rent and then submit the agreement copy along with the dependent application.

Please respond to this and let me know what should I do in terms of the maintenance and accommodation thing.

I can confirm that we dont need a tenancy agreement as I got my wife's dependant visa approved yesterday without tenancy agreement. When we applied for visa, people in vfs centres insisted for it but we told them that we will take responsibility for any outcome and our documentation worked.

But, make sure you put all the other documentation perfect...like marriage certificate, family photograph and wedding photos, bank statements. It will be good if you put your payslips but its not mandatory though.

Thanks a lot for the reply. How about the maintenance of fund? Do I have to maintain 1600+1600+800 or it will be 1600+1600+2800.

So does this mean that sponsor has to keep 2800 pound for himself and for each dependent 1600 pound extra if he is in UK for less then 1 year??

Nothing much. But this time i did provide e-mail transcipts between me and my husband since the time he left for UK and few wedding photos and family photos js to be extra sure which i hadnt last time.

btw, did u see the recent clarification on the maintenance funds in the forum by one of the members? which means that in my case i shouldnt have got rejected last time for the same reason :-(.....this is really depressing and confusing as so much of money, time and energy was wasted on reapplying.

Thank you for clarifying. I feel you have mitigated any risk by going with 2800. I saw the mail but still due to the uncertainty would not take that risk.

Hope you get your visa soon.

Cheers,
Jacob.
