IELTS BAND ?

Hi , I would like someone who has recently done their IELTS exams in India to come to the uk on a spouse visa to tell me what IELTS band is required for uk entry.

I have been having really big problem trying to find out what band is required for uk spouse visa. I contact the Vfs global visa office in India, ukba and anyone else you can think of but I keep going around in circles with out a answer. I have been told 1.5 is the minimum or 4 , then again u need 5.

Cam someone tell what band is requires for uk entry or give a official contact who cam provide me answers.

Also what documents will my wife need and i need to support her application.

Sorry to go on abit but this question is giving me a head ache.
