Tier 1 extension earlier than 28 days of expiry

Hello,

I was a regular reader of the forum when I applied for tier 1 application. The forum is very useful. Thank you all.

I now wish to apply for the extension of tier 1 within UK. Please advise:

Visa expires 02/2012 but I want to apply for the extension in November. What is the best reason to specify for early extension.

Reason for applying early: Going to India in Dec as work will not give time off in Jan/Feb.

I am not worried about the time lapse for ILR as I will become eligible to apply for ILR based on 10 years legal stay.

There is no reason required as per rules. You may get the extension from current date if you apply early. Rest is up to you what ever you feel about your circumstances and intend to put in covering letter.

tier1_applicant is right... you need not to give any reason whatsoever just apply as normal.
