Help Required Tier 1 extension

Post by your_param » Sat Jun 18, 2011 9:42 pm

Friends,
I need your advice here, I have a tier-1 general( july 2008). for family reasons i couldn't travel to UK earlier, finally made it here in end of May 2011.my visa expires in july so less tan 45 days left , with this background,my query is about the filling extension from UK

Points for earning: I was working in India and was getting paid in rupees. around 13 lakhs, how many points can i claim for extension.
During my initial application, there was a conversion formula used for Indian earning,( NOT CURRENCY conversion). Will the same be valid for extension application

Age:I had received 10 points on my original application ( less than 31 years) will i get same points as my original application or reduced due older age now.

I am desperately looking for suggestions and advice. loosing each day

thanks a million in advance.

Looks like you have made a mistake by ignoring the fact that there is no uplift in extension for overseas earnings.
Assuming whole of 13 L is your gross, it comes around 17,420 pounds which means ->5 points.
Age- Should be same as initial application -> 10 points
Qualificaton : Assuming you are post graduate-> 35 points.
Again assuming you do not have any UK earning now,
it comes around : 5+10+35= 50 points which is much away from 75 points you need for extension.

tier1_applicant is right. You cannot apply the upliftment ratio. Convert the INR to GBP and check what points you are eligible for.
