EC Interview-Work Permit Holder

Post by touchsensor » Tue May 16, 2006 3:54 pm

Hi everyone,
During the interview for entry clearance for work permit holder, what kind of questions are asked?
Would anyone be able to share their experience and how long did it take to get EC?

They usually inquire about your employement history, type of work you are currently doing and about new job role. More over they do sometime ask how did you find the job. Usually it is a very straight forward interview. Do keep your certificates, job and work refreneces with you. Rest assured it is usually a straight forward thing.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for that.
Any idea on how long does it take to get approval after an Entry Clearance interview?

Touchsensor, you are assuming that there will be an interview, but that is not necessarily the case. And this will vary from one British Mission to another.

You don't publicly disclose your location and if you were to do so .... which country .... it might help you get information about your location.

The better quality of the supporting information supplied with the application, the less chance of an interview.

Hi John,

Thanks for your opinion. Actually, there is an interview scheduled and the country is Malaysia. Any idea on how long it will take to make a decision after the interview and what is required for the interview?

Normally the decision is made at the end of the interview. And if the decision is favourable you might be asked to wait around while they put the sticker in the passport.

Required for the interview? You have already supplied the supporting evidence with the application? Unless you think there is more evidence that might help (in which case take it with you), just present yourself and hopefully everything will be fine.

Let us know how you get on.
