Tier 1 extension application - Queries

Post by sudhir_sarode » Mon Jun 20, 2011 3:24 pm

I have my Tier 1 general due to expire in July and planning to apply asap. Please provide your inputs for below questions -

1. For my past earning, I have 6 months India and 6 Months UK salary whereas for my last month salary in India earning is a full and final settlement amount where my gross is in minus because there was recovery of joining bonus as i left that org eralier that agreed period for joining bonus due to this my overall net pay is more than gross pay. will this create confusion to the case
2. My 5-6 months UK salary itself sufficient for earning points for extension. Shall I show only my UK salary of 5-6 months to avoid confusion written in point 1. please advice.
3. Shall I highlight the salary in bank statment by highlighter or just by pencil mark. Which is better?
4. I have same bank for salary and maintainance fund, Shall I submit just one bank statement for two(seperate for salary details and maintainance fund)
5. For preious earning- do we required to provide Bank Contact Details?
(same as we provide employer contact details)

I am into similar situation----i came here in Jan 2011 and my PEO in person date is 26th July.

I am only showing my UK earning only to avoid verification for india salary and company and banks which will reduce visa processing time.

when is ur visa expiring......PEO appointment is not easy to get I was trying from mid of may to get the appointment date of end of july.

Mt experience for getting an appointment date -

Few tips for getting appointment date:-

I tried to search the appointment by day and both time ...what I have noticed that appointment date will advance by one - so if at present it is showing appointment date as 29th July then it will advance one date ahead tomorrow.

u have to keep on trying 6-7 times in day at the interval of 2 hrs to check the open slot.

What i have noticed that croydon and other office appointment slot will open after 4 p.m every day and it will remain open till it get filled up.

if u try in the morning u will not get the appointment slot as it is filled in the evening only.

there are more chances u will get appointment in cadriff as it shows random appointment for other dates as well.

best of luck n thanks

1. Highlighting with highlighter should be fine. I don’t think it will be problem even if you don’t do it.
2. You can refer same bank account statment for both salary and maintainace fund.
3. No harm to add it in your covering letter. Also If these are your monthly bank statements it would have all details itself. I am not sure in case of print out.
4. If salary slips are on employer letter head these are fine without sign/stamp. If salary slips are not on letter head than they should be signed and stamped by employer.

Regards,
Kash

Hi,
my total salary in India is coming e.g 123456.12 after converting in GBP it is coming as 1000.90 and UK salary as 2000.20 so equal to 3001.10 which I mentioned in covering letter but in point based calulator, it is accepting only around figure like 1000 and 2000 so total coming as 3000

So in cover letter , shall i also show like ~ 1000 and ~2000 else it will be different in cover letter and point based calulator. Please advice how to handle this.
(note: it is not making any difference in my points)

Tier 1 ext queries

Post by Tier1Dependant_chennai » Sat Jun 25, 2011 3:05 pm

Hi there,

Please could you advise me on below queries on Tier 1 extension (My case WP -> Tier 1 -> Tier 1 extension).

1. Age: I am 32 years old, my initial application was made on July 2008. Am I eligible for points under Age attribute? Point base calculator awarding 10 points but according to section G1(tier1-general-form), zero points for age > 31 years. Please advice?

2. Past earnings: Do I just need to declare earning for minimum required points (i.e 75+10+10) to avoid any issue while applying for ILR?

3. Bank statement: I have moved to new property recently and my bank statements still contain old address. Will it be an issue?

Many thanks in advance
