Please recommend a reliable and good lawyer

Post by eugeleb » Sat Jun 25, 2011 7:22 am

Hi everyone. I now need to proceed with the leave to remain stage from a dependent EEA member visa. As i am short on time, need a recommendation to find a local London or even nationwide lawyer or a firm to take care of all the legal proceedings. Please leave your recommendations and if possible your experience.

Kindest regards

Eugene

Do you mean that you are the family member of an EEA national? Do you want to apply for a Residence Card?

What is your relationship to the EEA national?

That's right. I'm a family member of an EEA national. We are married but have gone apart and i need to divorce and would ideally like to apply for an independent visa and work towards the leave to remain.
Advice is appreciate but ideally want to find a reliable recommended lawyer to take care of the paper work.

Thanks

How long have you and your EEA spouse been married?

How long in the UK?

Are you working?

While you are still not divorced, you have the right to reside in the UK as long as your EEA spouse is here exercising treaty rights.

In certain circumstances you can retain the right to reside in the UK even after you have divorced.

It is easier to do this if you have your spouse's co-operation: are you still in touch?

Thank so much. Anyone used http://www.legalcentre.org or http://www.legalcentre.org. So far they have been recommend and
i just wonder if anyone has used them and can share their experience.
My friend was messed around by a lawyer for 6 months. I don't mind paying for the services but can't afford to waste time.

Thanks guys
