Schengen Tourist visa for parents of British Citizen

Has anyone applied for schengen tourist visa when child is a british citizen?

My parents from India are planning to apply for schengen visa (they currently already have tourist visa to UK) and am wondering if just providing details of my British passport along with proof of relationship should do the job

dont want to go through hassle of booking hotel, tickets, insurance etc etc for getting these visas
