Family visa processed in 5 working days

Hi all,

Thanks for all your help.

My parents got the family visit visa in 5 working days. I have mentioned the documents which we have submitted, this may help others.

Application form (with photos)
Covering letter
Passport
Property documents
Bank passbook and Fixed deposits

From my side:

Sponsor/Invitation letter
Online Hotel booking
Bank Statements
Pay slips

Congratulations and thanks for sharing information.

Can I ask on question on Fixed Deposit. Did they submit supporting letter from Bank Manager saying FDs can be encashed anytime and are not locked under any bond period?

Thanks for that posting, that is really really quick processing time. Could I know from which vfs center had you submitted this Visitor Visa application.

Here are my parents UK Family Visior visa application details.

Date application submitted: 1st JULY,2011
Through which VFS: VFS - HYDERABAD.
For my Father and Mother,
As on - 06 JULY,2011 - APPLICATION UNDER PROCESS WITH BHC.

Please let me know further details

In which part of the application form VAF1B, you specified that your parents are going to stay in the hotel.

We applied in chennai vfs.

And I have mentioned the stay in Section 8.4

hi jkks,
But if I am not wrong, 8.4 asks for relative's address rather than the address where you would stay. Is it not a problem as you have done it?

8.4 Please name the relative you will stay with and provide exact details of your relationship to them along with their
full address (including postal code), contact telephone numbers (including country and area codes) and details of their
permission to be in the UK

Or would it be okay to specify this in the additional details section

Thanks for the info.I plan to sponsor my i laws but ave been in the UK for only one month.Is there a requirement that we need to have been for atleast 2-3 months before we can sponsor.Can you pls clarify ?

Usually, UKBA wants to see last three bank statements, to access your financial status (your ability to support/sponsor visitor). You may be able to support them on Accomodation requirement (using Tenancy agreement). However, they (visitor) will have to support themselves for flight tickets, food and other daily expenses.

-- I can see your point, however the visitor wants to visit us but they would be staying in hotel. In this case we cant specify the relative name in this section.

I also bit scared after applying it, anyway the application got successful.

Hi jkks,

My parents are applying for family visitor visa in August. May I ask you did you send originals of your bank statements & Pay slips or they were photocopies?
