accommodation advice needed before visa application

Post by nadya » Wed Jul 06, 2011 5:18 pm

Hi There,

I'm going to apply for Tier 4 Student visa as I'm going to attend full time Masters course in the UK. The University does provide campus accommodation but I'd rather rent a one-bedroom apartment on my own which I can only do upon my arrival to the UK.

However, as far as I know I need to indicate UK address I'm going at when making my visa application. Will it be OK if I give a hotel address where I'm planning to stay until I find a suitable accommodation? Or are there any other ways?

Thank you in advance,
Nadya

No such requirement.

your address in UK is not required if you are more than 18 years old.

thts right its not required for making an application @nadya but a valid address would be required when u land in uk as this is UKBA requirement.thats y airlines normally ask passengers to fill landing card, in which u have to declare where u will be staying.

This is off topic but renting a 1 bed room flat in London will cost you minimum £700 a month. Considering you're a student I hope you have done your research. FYI
