Help with ILR and passport visa transfer

Post by prince05 » Mon Jul 11, 2011 8:23 am

Hi,

I am planning to apply for ILR in few weeks and I have a small query. My Indian passport expired so I applied for a new one. But I haven't applied for Visa transfer as, according to ukba website, this is not required as long as you carry both the old and new passports.

Now that I am applying for ILR in person, do I have to get my current visa (Tier 1 general) transferred or will it still be fine if I carry both my passports?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Rav.

No need to transfer Tier 1 (General). Submit both passports for ILR application. They should endorse the ILR in your new passport.
