How long does EU3 application take to process?

my friend..it is even written on the inis website
it is written in EU directive

6 months approx.if your application is sucessful you will get the stamp for next 10 years.

it took me about just over 6 month,
once you approved you'll get letter for 10 years.

is this the LTR? applied in dec2010. no news since.

But why do they call it 'permanent residence' if it's only for 10 years?

Passports are not usually valid for longer than 10 years. It's automatically renewable anyway, once you get a new passport.
