Any experience in chasing outstanding applications?

Post by stillhopeful » Tue Jul 12, 2011 1:11 pm

Dear all,
I have an outstanding ILR SET(O) application coming now to 7 weeks. I really would like to contact the UKBA to enquire about progress but I note that on the website they state I should not call until it has been 14 weeks+ since application.

Is this really the case?

I note alos that some members have been calling earlier and getting some response (although it seems usually a blanket response is given).

I would appreciate any tips here about what number to call and when and how to ask the question.

Cheers

Yes postal application could take anywhere between 3 and 6 months. Lucky ones would get it early.
