Applying to extend my Tier 1 visa: 28 days, is this a rule??

Post by made1978 » Thu Jul 21, 2011 6:28 pm

Hi, I'm finding some conflicting information and hope someone can point me in the right direction.

My current Tier 1 Visa expires 28 Sept and I'm applying for a new Tier 1 extension.

Does this mean they will only consider my application from 1st Sept or later? If I get a PEO in person now or in August, will they consider my case and process it?

I'm not worried about the 5 year period to go for ILR gap as I worked for awhile with a work permit before switching to tier 1, so I can renew early and still be fine. Please let me know??

Thanks in advance.

you can extend it whenever you want....the period for work permit will counts towards 5 years...as long as you were not on Tier 2 (ICT)

You should be fine.

You can apply from 28 days before you meet the 5 years criteria
