INDIFINITE LEAVE

Post by PRASAN123 » Mon Jul 25, 2011 2:18 pm

Hi anybody,

I received my HSMP visa and entered UK 16th Oct 2006.
but my wife and two children got visa at the same time, but
entered uk 9th of December 2006.

We all got extention under Judicial Review, and now trying to
apply ILR in September 2011.(after completing 5years)

I would greatly appreciate. if some one provide a guidence for me.

1.What is the earliest date that i should apply? (if by post)

2.How long will it take, if i apply by post?
(becase i am hopping to apply for a post degree, for that they need
my ILR, in order to consider as a home student. need to submit befor
31/10/2011.

3.Do i need to get a letter from employer?
currently i have payslips, bank statements, P60, two letter from home
office approval, for last 5 years period.

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to apply after 19 September. The postal applications normally take longer, presently upto 3 months, so I would suggest to take the PEO route which would be on the same day if the application is straight forward.

Letter from employer depends on the case worker I guess. As sometimes CWs insist on it and sometimes they completely ignore it. In my opinion 5 years P60s, 12 months wage slips supported by Bank statements should do the job. But again its your luck.
