Help with Wifes settelement visa--Arranged marriage

Post by dundeeboy » Wed Jun 14, 2006 1:12 pm

Hi,
I am a permanent resident of Uk and I met my wife on a matrimonial site in last week of Feb 06 and we exchanged our details and then parents got involved, I went to India in last week of March 06 to meet her and we got engaged there. After that I got married in the 2nd week of April 06 and lived with her till Mid may and had to return to uk to look after my business, now my wife is applying for a visa to join me in the UK.
I have been in touch with her from past 4 weeks thru google talk
now my questions are
1. As it's a short period between me coming to UK and application being made (4 -5 weeks) do we need to show proof of contact ?

2. Also in the application form there are questions about when did our relationship start and where ? Is this applicable to a spouse visa ? if so then what should I mention ? is it the time we exchanged the details on the matrimonial site or the time when I actually went to meet her and her parents ?

Thanks

Just state things as heppened, your proof will be the photographs of yourself and your wife etc and your passpot immigration stamp at the airport.

You also need all the documents required, i.e. accommodation, employment, bank statements, tax code ( P1).
