Tier 1 Extension : Age and Qualification points mismatching

Hi,

I am holding an HSW visa (Details given below).

Visa type : HSW tier 1 general
Issue date : 30th Oct 2008
Expiry date : 30th Oct 2011

I will be applying for Tier 1 extension visa early September 2011. I found out that the points shown in the points based calculator is different than given in the actual form.

I am getting 10 points for my age (32) and 50 points for my qualification (PHD) from Points Based calculator but from the main form which option to choose is confusion for me.

In the form, for age, there are two options to choose from.

"G1. Please tick the relevant box to confirm the points claimed by the applicant on the basis of his/her age at the date of application for the first grant of leave in the category.
Applications for leave to remain where the applicant has, or has had, leave as a Highly Skilled Migrant, as a Writer, Composer or Artist, Self-employed Lawyer, or as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the Rules in place before 6 April 2010, and has not been granted leave in any categories other than these since 6 April 2010"

First option displays the below points (Say Label A)
Under 28 years of age : 20 points
28 or 29 years of age : 10 points
30 or 31 years of age : 5 points

Second option displays the below points (Say Label B)
All other applications for leave to remain
Under 30 years of age : 20 points
30 to 34 years of age : 10 points
35 to 39 years of age : 5 points

Applications for leave to remain where the applicant has, or has had, leave as a Highly Skilled Migrant, as a Writer, Composer or Artist, Self-employed Lawyer, or as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the Rules in place before 6 April 2010, and has not been granted leave in any categories other than these since 6 April 2010"

PhD : 50 points
Masters degree : 35 points
Bachelors degree* : 30 points

Second option displays the below points (Say Label B)
All other applications for leave to remain
PhD : 45 points
Master’s degree : 35 points
Bachelor’s degree : 30 points

It clearly mentioned in G1 and H3 that if you have mentioned 20 points for your age and 50 points for your phd in your initial application you can claim same points again. So, in my opinion you have to tick boxes in label A.
