Post by jkeerthan » Thu Aug 18, 2011 11:35 am

my last tier 4 application was refused stating that my bank letter didnt state
that the fund was held for 28 days and they wont consider 2 documents (i.e. passbook and letter) under pbs system......

now i requested my bank to issue a letter stating tha"t the funds were held for consecutive 28 days...."....but my funds are in my account for more than 2 months without any changes........

guys please i will be very greateful.if you can provide me with the format of the letter or atleast tell me what the letter should contain....

Bank letter format

Post by kprasath » Thu Aug 18, 2011 11:53 am

I got a letter from my bank as follows,

To,
UKBA

Sub: Account number - Person full name,

We wish to conform that a minimum balance maintained in the captioned account for the past 28 days is Rs XXXXXX calculated till DATE_OF_LETTER, When converted to GBP @ USE_EXCHANGE_RATE comes to GBP XXXX.

Sign from the branch manager & Bank Seal

Get the above in bank letterhead.

Hope this helps

I request the mods to add anything that I might have missed.
My bank refused to provide a litter with "To whom so ever it may concern", so I got it directed to UKBA

Regards
Krishna

" we confirm that a sum of rs.XXXXXX has been maintained by him from
02-06-2011 to 18-08-2011.."

as long as they have mentioned a period of at least 28 days, it is fine, they do not need to mention the words '28 days' in the letter. Does the letter also include your name, account number, sort code and is it on the bank's official letterhead?
