Quick question - Dependant of ILR under 10 years rule

Post by vincentjovita » Sat Aug 20, 2011 3:27 pm

Dear all,

I am currently on Tier 1 General visa and my wife is on dependant visa. I am going to apply for ILR under the basis of 10 year long residence. After reading UKBA website and forums, I understand that my wife would not be able to apply for ILR at the same time, and has to apply FLR(M).

My question is when would she apply for this? Is it after I have my ILR granted? And is there a time limit when she has to apply, or could it wait until she sees out her current dependant visa?

Sorry if the answer sounds obvious, but I have been searching around and is trying to get a clear answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Vince
