ILR refuse to process - Solihull

Post by a_d » Wed Aug 24, 2011 9:59 am

Hi

Thought I would share my recent experience in Solihull.

The gentleman who served me was very helpful and thankfully they do not process your payment until all documentation is in order. I am grateful for that!

I am on a work permit and when I originally applied there was no tier 2 SOC codes linked to my work permit documents. My legal advice dismissed the suggestion that I may need this when requesting a employer letter. WRONG!!!

Please note that all work permits are subject to the tier 2 rules for codes of practice.

Please find below Codes of Practice (COP) pointers.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/emplo ... fpractice/

Your employer letter needs to show the following information:

Salary in line with COP
Job title in line with COP
COP reference number
Intention of continued employment
That employment has been maintained in line with COP

Hope this help someone in the future to avoid disappointment and make sure you review all your documentation prior to submission if you are receiving legal help.

Cheers
A

Job title in line with COP
Can something similar looking work as well? Or does it have to be exactly related wth whats written on the Code of Practice? My job title did'nt exist in the list so we chose a broad category and sent the application. Would that be allrite yeah?

you still need to chose a job title!... its another issue if it matches closely or broadly!
