Family Visas- Can family be refused entry

Friends

Thanks for your views on my previous post, I have few questions related to my family's visas as below.

1. I got my FLR upto 2010 and afterwards applied for my family's dependent visas in home country which were issued valid upto the same date as mine, my family has since not travelled to UK (4 months), can they be refused entry to UK by the IO ? Is there any clause that they need to enter within 3 months ?

2. My family does not plan to live in UK for next 2 years, will they loose their dependent visas ?

Pls advise

No, normally they will not be refused entry while their visa remains valid.
