Child Benefit Query.

Post by sricherry » Tue Aug 30, 2011 3:18 pm

I and my wife and my daughter received our ILR in Feb 2011. My daughter born in UK only. As we can claim for child benefits planning to apply this week.

My question is while filling the form there is a question stating "Are you subject to immigration control now, or at any time in the last three months?". what should i fill in this? or should i not fill anything for this question.

DO i need to send the passports of mine and my wife? as in the check list there is only one document (child birth certificate) was asked to add to the application form.

Please let me know about the above?

You can are entitled to claim Child Benefit. If you both received ILR in February, you're no longer subject to Immigration control...and neither were you during the last 3 months. They ask this as CB is generally backdated 3 months.
Just submit the birth certificate as requested.
