In Country HSMP application

Post by zxcvb » Sat Jun 24, 2006 10:27 pm

Hello All,

I will be applying for in country HSMP. I have all the required documents. I am here in UK on WP and have payslips and P60. My employer has been paying me on PAYE and deducting Income tax, but has not deducted NI. I have been told that since I have moved here from India, NI will not be deducted for the first 52 weeks. After that they will deduct NI from my salary. I have checked HMRC's site and found that there is a legal valid clause which supports what my employer has told me.
My question is - Will not deducting NI for the last 12 months affect my HSMP application

Anyone with similar conditions who has applied for HSMP and has got approval and rejection, please reply. Any guidance here will be appreciated.

Thanks a ton
Tom
