My parents and I received ILR today. Father came to the Uk on 26th October 2006 (received clearance on 13th October 2006)
We got to the Liverpool PEO at around 11 am and parked my car in the capital building car park. Had our appointments at 12:00pm & 12:30pm for my parents and myself. We got through the Airport Style security checks, I asked the guy for my boarding pass, don't think he got the joke.
We immediately got 2 tokens. In about 20 seconds since we got in, our token number was announced. I told the caseworker about our situation saying I am an Over 18 dependent applying with parents. The caseworker said that was fine. She asked couple of questions about what I was doing etc. I did NOT tell her about my 12 months engineering placement I did during my gap year in a different city. Instead, I told her that I am living at home and am going to University from October(which I am). She then said our application was straight forward. She gave us 2 payment tokens. In about a minute, they called our token and my dad paid for both of us. I asked her if I had to fill Section 5,6,7 for my Over 18 dependent application. She said I had to fill as much of it as I can. I brought in a spare application and filled these sections.
Couple of minutes later, we got our token called again to provide application and documents. They asked for :
Last 2 months bank statements for my father
His employment letter
Passports
Previous HO documents
I kept giving more documents such as :
Father's 5 year's P60s
Parent's Cohabitation confirmation - joint bank statement from 2 years ago
My University Confirmation
etc
I didn't need KOL due to HSMP ILR JR
To be honest, they didn't really check alot. Just made sure that the payment was right.
She told me that the application was fine and it'll be ready in about an hour. We went around Liverpool city center and cameback.
Our passports where ready and we came outside. Dramatically, it started raining!
Thanks alot to all the Immigration board members who posted details/asked questions about ILR applications.
Hope this helps
