CG360 wrote:I have heard following information regarding Tire1 extension (not IRL) from a specialist (not UKBA)
"Your visa extension will be based on the same level of earnings as the ones that you submitted for your initial application. Another words, although you have enough point in total for your extension, if you are not earning the same or more as you earned when you applied for the initial visa, your extenuation will be rejected"
Could anyone clarify whether this is true? Do you know anyone who had a enough point but was rejected because earnings were less than the initial application?
Thanks in advance.
Policy guidance says "An applicant can claim points for the earnings he/she has previously made for his/her work." Your source may be confusing it with 'previous' claimed points though what it means is that you can claim for 'previously' earned amount and not any earnings in 'anticipation'. If what you state is true many Indian IT Tier-1 holders will be packing their bags at the time of first extension itselfCG360 wrote:Thanks for your comment.
Could you please clarify that this means following applicant will be rejected ?
for example…
Applicant who requires 100point in total for the extension...
- Initial application: Total point 120 (includes age, qualifications, earnings, Ukexperience, language and maintenance) / earnings 50,000
- Extension: Total point 100 (includes age, qualification, earnings, experiences, language and maintenance) / earnings 49,000
(An applicant has a enough point for extension, however earnings and total point are less than initial application)
