Inquiry

Post by Swshah » Tue Sep 27, 2011 12:24 am

Hi ,

I have small query to ask. Following is my profile.

Work Permit -- Oct 2006

HSMP ----- Dec 2007

HSMP Extension -- Dec 2009 (Tier-1 at that time)

I have all 5 yrs pay slips , all P 60's and P 45's and bank statements . LIUK certificate.

I just need to inquire is there any requirement of maintenance of funds ?

As at the time of my HSMP extension I have shown the balance of 800 pounds for consecutive 3 months. Thanks

Regards

Shah

Yes for Tier 1 General extension, no for ILR.

No specific maintenance funds reuired

Post by ricky129 » Tue Sep 27, 2011 2:09 pm

Hi,
There is not a specific amount required for the maintenance funds. I went for my appointment last week friday 23rd September and the case worker requested for only 3 months bank statements or payslips which were already with the documents I submitted except for one month (August Payslip). Don't stress yourself on that, I didn't have much in my account anyway.

Hi Ricky

What is the definition of "much" in your dictionary. I hope its not few thousand. Will few hundred be OK?

"Maintenance fund" or "bank balance" is not a requirement for settlement.

Hi Ricky,

What do you mean by few hundred? My account balance went as low as £400 for a few days within 3 months time from now.

I don't know how much is enough as there is no word in the form/guidance notes regarding the amount, all it says in the SET(O) form, page 33:

"The documents showing the finances available to you and to any person supporting you should cover at least the last 3 months."

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi Sushdmehta,

They need the finances to be available with you to support yourself (and the family) and they also need three month's of supporting documents. This is quite similar to the "maintenance" requirement for Tier-1 extensions apart from the fact that, in ILR's case, they don't mention any concrete amount and put us in dark.

Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Thx!

Hi Sushdmehta,

I am applying for ILR in Feb 1st week.I come under HSMP-JR(5years)

Actually I was working as a temp for a company and my contract was ended on 31st sep 2010 and I had my Ear surgery in December 2010 so, from that time onwards I am unemployed till date so I will not be in a position to show my recent 3 months payslips.

Will this effect my application?

Please do let me know.

Thanks in Advance
