Tier 1 dependant application for child born in U.K

Post by gujalls » Mon Oct 03, 2011 10:28 am

Hi all,

I am applying the Tier 1 dependant visa for my child who was born in U.K.
While filling the PBS dependant application form, I am confused on what to be filled for few sections.

Below are the application form question which I would like to know what should be filled since the baby was born in U.K

C1. Under what nationality did the dependant enter the United Kingdom?
What should I fill in since my baby was born here and did not enter the UK.

D1. Did the dependant obtain entry clearance or a visa before entering the United Kingdom?

What should I fill in since my baby was born here and did not enter the UK.

D5. Please enter the reference number on the entry clearance or visa which can be found in the dependant’s passport or travel document.
This is the initial application. Should I leave this blank?

D6. Are either the dependant’s current and/or any one of his/her previous passport(s) or travel document(s) that he/she has used to travel to, and remain in, the United Kingdom which show his/her current leave unavailable?

Yes - go to question D7 No - go to question D12
Currently his passport does not have any visa stamped. Should I say Yes?

D7. At which port did the dependant enter the United Kingdom?
What should I fill in since my baby was born here in U.K

D8. How did the dependant enter the United Kingdom?
By air By sea By channel tunnel Travelling overland via the Republic of Ireland

What should I fill in since my baby was born here in U.K

D10. For what purpose did the dependant enter the United Kingdom?
What should I fill in since my baby was born here in U.K

D11. When did the dependant arrive in the United Kingdom?

What should I fill in since my baby was born here in U.K. Should I fill in his Date Of Birth

D12. What is the dependant’s current immigration status in the United Kingdom?

What should I fill in since my baby was born here in U.K

Thank you very much for your response.

Common sense suggests that "child born in UK" or "Not Applicable" are both appropriate responses to such questions.

Thank you for the quick response.

For D5 ; is it ok to write Not Applicable instead of reference number
For D6 ; Its a Yes or No checkbox. This question is tricky answering a 'Yes' or 'No'. If I say 'Yes' its proves that the person has illegally traveled to U.K. If I say 'No' , I think I should show a valid Visa.

And so on...

I am looking to get help from people who has applied the visa for babies born in U.K.

Your input is very much appreciated.

If you will not be taking your baby out of the UK until after you get your settlement status then i don't think you need to include the baby in your extension but if otherwise then its ok.
