Please how long does it take to apply for a certificate of sponsorship for TIER2 online via the UK border agency website?

Hi,
I would like to inquire how long it takes for a COS to be requested for and the procedure for the request. My employer doesn't have a live certificate. They are an A rated company and have been sponsoring people for years now. However, the last sponsorship was last year.
please advise, very urgent.

Hi,

Does anyone know how long it takes to 'get' the unrestricted CoS? I know it takes about 10-15 minute to apply for one but I would like to know how long do you wait till UKBA sends you the CoS number? Is it same day?

Employer completed RLMT today but will take 2 more days to apply for uCoS. I called today to ask if I should give in my resignation but they said don't do it just yet and wait till UKBA's response. Now I'm worried if there are chances of uCoS being refused! Does anyone know people getting their uCoS refused?

I'm currently working on Tier2 General, but want to switch employer. New employer just completed RLMT but I'm paranoid about uCoS getting refused. Want to resign from current job once I get the new uCoS. So was wondering if anyone had problems getting uCoS.
