Method of counting days absent for naturalisation

Post by joh118 » Mon Oct 17, 2011 3:15 am

Hi,

I know that to qualify, you must not leave the UK for more than 90 days in the 12 months leading up to the application.

I would like to know how they count days absent.

for example, 7th August to 14th August - is that 6, 7 or 8 days? (i.e. do they count travel days or not?)

or

22nd June 2011 to 7th July 2011 is that 14 days?

many thanks

Same as you calculate absences for settlement - exclude day of departure and arrival, and count the days in-between.
