Spousal Visa Processing Times

Hi All,

Very impressed with the support available on here, so hopefully someone will be able to help out.

My wife is Vietnamese and applying for a spousal visa from Vietnam.

I wanted to know, what are the usual processing times for a visa?

A few details re: our application...

+ Me and my parents are co-sponsoring, we are using my parents property as our registered address (my parents have supplied all their evidence of savings, income and land ownership)
+ I have plenty of evidence to support my wife's relationship with my parents too (trips to VN, photos, 3-4 yrs of emails)
+ My wife had a tourist visa a couple of years ago
+ She's got IELTS 5.5 (7.0 in speaking)
+ Our son has dual nationality (UK/VN) - he's in VN with her now.
+ Of course I've provided evidence that I've got a job, good income etc

I really want them here for Christmas, as you can imagine.

I've heard that despite the 12 week standard time, 2-4 weeks is the average.
