How Early to Enter UK before dependant visa expires??

Post by shussain37 » Fri Oct 21, 2011 4:20 pm

Hi All,

I am on Tier-1 General Visa that will expire 17/06/2012. I am going to apply for my wife visa next month. I hope she will get visa within 3-4 weeks (by the end of November).
We got married last December. But it was only Nikah(paper marriage). The ceremony is arranged in February next year. So, the intended date of her first entry in the UK will be first week of March.

My question is

1) If its OK to apply for her visa so early? (4 months in my case)

2) Can she enter the UK if her visa(and mine as well) expires in 3 months and few days after her first entry? (1st week of March to 17/06/12). Keeping in mind that i have to apply for our visa extension in June again and we'll need 3 months proof.

Thanks,
