proving specialist experience in IT

Has anybody here have had any success with proving specialist experience as a software developer ?

What could count as specialist experience within the fiefd of software development?

It easy to prove specialist exp when it comes to other fields like finance, medicine etc.
But software ? What skills could a person have that sets him apart from others ?

Has anybody (who is in IT) ever had any success with proving specialist experience to the HSMP ? If so , please relate. I would like to hear from you.

i have been able to successfully prove that i had specialist IT experience, although it was in IT security.

it wasn't easy - what i had to do was ensure that every employer actually stated that i was in a job that they regarded as being specialist. Further to that, i also submitted a number of articles gathered from various sources that showed i was in a high-demand industry that had high growth projections.

You should probably look to use wording such as "specialist" as well as "graduate level" in your employer letters.

Also, i only made it through on a review. I had my initial application rejected.
