Tier 1 (General) Ext. / Limited Company/ Glasgow PEO

Post by pvivekrao » Mon Nov 28, 2011 10:44 am

Hi All,

My visa got extended successfully on last Friday 25th Nov.

Thank you every one who helped me to prepare documents.

My suggestion is please do not go Glasgow PEO if you have Limited Company, they are not accepting application forms who has Limited company and taking salary+Dividends.

Thanks!!

They said if your taking dividends so it considered as Self Employed and it required more time to do process and they are suggested to post the form. Not only for me, they have not accepted many forms.

I have taken another appointment in Sheffield PEO, my form successfully processed there and got visa extended
:)

Can you please let me know what supporting documents you attached for your earning points? I am on tier 1 general and my extension is due in Dec, 2012. I need £26K. I also have limited company and I draw £600 as a salary from company account. for salaried employee I know home office considered gross salary but I am not sure about dividend. is it gross or net dividend?

thanks pvivekrao for your prompt reply,

I want to know about taxes as well. I know that I will have to pay minimum NI and tax if I keep my salary at minimum level but I don't know about corporate tax and tax credit on dividends. if company made profit then company will be liable for corporate tax which is 20%. just in case company declared the whole net profit as dividend then there is again 10% or 9% tax on dividend. please correct me if I am wrong?. as I am sole share holder and sole employee and at the end of the day it will be me who will pay corporate tax and taxes on dividend. that's what my understanding is about taxes. one thing more is that home office award points on gross dividend or net dividend?
