Adding Spouse Name in Passport - Tier1(General) dependent

Hello All,

Is this Mandatory to add my spouse name in my passport to apply for Tier1 General Dependent Visa.

I have valid Marriage Certificate to produce, and my name added in my husband passport.

Please Suggest.
