Query about ILR due in april 2012..

Hi everybody !!!

I am on spousal visa of 2 year. My visa will be end on 3rd may 2012. As law states I can submit my ILR application before 28 days.

But I heard UKBA are changing resedence requirement from 2 to 5 years with effect from april 2012 for spouse visa application holder. Is that true ?

So I if it is true I cannot apply my ILR in april 2012 ?

Can some one explain please ?

Submit it in April 2012. No changes have been confirmed.
