ILR Decision Waiting - PEO Croydon

Post by garryjovial » Wed Dec 21, 2011 2:18 pm

Dear All,

I have submitted my ILR appl'n under the HSMP/Teir 1 (April-Nov 2006) JR alongwith my dependant (My wife) yesterday, 20th Dec 2011 at PEO Croydon. The experience at the PEO was not as pleasant as one would expect.I waited for couple of hours before my token number was called out for interview once the payment was taken. Then after the case worker took my documents she asked me to wait for another one hour while the cheks are being made and later on I was told they can't make a decision on my case today, the case worker assured me all my documents are correct as it is quite a straight forward case, but there was some random enquiry raised by the system apparently, which they coudn't answer on the same day so she said they will call me tomorrow and let me know about the decision and then its upto me to come personally and collect the passposrts/documents or can be sent to me in the post. She said my case has been signed off by her manager to be carried forward for first thing tomorrow. Following are the documents she has collected from me in original alongwith our passports:

1) 3 Months Payslips
2) 3 Months Banks Statements
3) Utility Bills as Cohabitation Evidence
4) Tenancy Agreements as Cohabitation Evidence
5) Last 5 years P60s
6) Initial HSMP Approval Letter dt. 21st Nov 2006

I have not spent more than 30 days out off UK at one stretch and 145 days in total in last 5 years. I have not received any call so far and after going through numerous searches on the net it appears there will be a delay in my case too. Has anyone experienced this sort of thing lately? Can some one please put more insight into what makes this sort of thing happen? I asked my case worker but she said its confidential, can't be told. It is quite stressful, I am wondering since then what could have gone wrong.

Please advice
Thanks

Very Odd.Any benefits you may have claimed?
But is she said it was a straightforward case then I would be optimistic.

Thanks for optimist suggestion, but you never know what may turn up with UKBA. I have not taken any benifits.

Post by garryjovial » Thu Dec 22, 2011 10:50 am

Its Day 3 today, I am Still waiting for the call :( , I called up at the enquiry number and no one is ready to unfold the mystery, Apparently they can't tell you the status unless your application is 6 months Old!

I applied in person for my ILR yesterday and was successful. See my posts if you interested.

Due to their IT problems from 20/12 .. I was also given the decision for them to post my passports (if the checks they were making turned out ok) or to come and collect.

As they had already wasted most of my day, I said I did not mind waiting and I was willing to wait until they closed. Luckily 15 minutes later I got called to the counter and was told the verification checks were good and they approved ILR and that I could pick up passport.

After seeing your trouble, I am glad I waited. Maybe you should visit the PEO again? That could help?
