Spouse visa for 2 years

My wife got her spouse visa yesterday, i was wondering what happens when the visa runs out in March 2014? I know its a while away but i was curious to know what happens after the 2 year period.

Your wife can apply for ILR if your are still married and cohabiting as such, in 1 year and 11 months from when she arrived in the UK.
