Tier 1 g extention, age and earning points

Post by email257525 » Sun Jan 01, 2012 12:28 am

Dear Forum Members

Can you please help me in this matter,
I had applied for tier 1 g (initial application) on 14/12/09 and got the visa on 21/01/10, I was given untill Jan 2013.

I am thinking to apply extention on say 15/12/12, I am confused about my age and earning points, in my initial application I had 10 points for age, will I be given same points in my extention application as I have read somewhere that they calculate the age points according to ur points on ur successfull initial application.

and the same problem is with earning.

Can you please put me in right directions

Hi,

You will be awarded the same points for your age for your extension.

For your earnings, refer to the section of the Policy guidance that relates to people who applied when you did to find out what you have to earn.

Thanks for the info. This means when I first applied for Tier 1 Gen visa my age was 26 and I got 20 points on that. Now when I apply for extension next year my age will be 29 years so this means I will still get 20 points on my age.
Is this correct??
