Hi
Guys first post so please be gentle if im being dumb...
I am a Scot with a UK passport.
I wish to bring My Thai wife over to be with me here, I am (will be)
exercising my treaty rights.
I would like to bring my wife in on a 90 day "C" visa then apply for a residence permit.
Now looking at the bumf of the Irish immigration website for a 90 day visa she must provide loads of seemingly irrelevant info !!!
I understand she completes the online application, but the site also says she must provide lots of supporting evidence.
But I feel that the request for so much supporting evidence contravenes
Directive/2004/38/EC
Can anyone advise me.
Can we apply for a 90 day "C" visa by completing the on-line application, making them aware of our intention to apply for a residents permit after she arrives, and refraining from providing the not legally required documentation, by quoting our rights under Directive/2004/38/EC ?
Or what does anyone advise we do to go about this procedure.
Thank you in advance for any assistance provided.
