Documents for Ancestry Visa

Post by hopefloats » Fri Jan 06, 2012 4:09 pm

Hi,
Documents required
You should include all the documents you can to show that you qualify for entry to the UK through UK Ancestry. This should include:

•your full birth certificate
•your marriage certificate, if you are married, and
•the full birth certificates of the parent and grandparent through whose ancestry you are making your application.

You will also need the marriage certificates of your parents and grandparents, and legal adoption papers if you or your parents are adopted.

You must apply for your visa in the country of which you are a national or where you legally live.

We have:

Full Birth Certificate of applicant.
Full Birth Certificate of applicant's mother
Full Birth Certificate of applicant's grandparent who was English (father of her mother)

We cannot trace the marriage certificate for applicant's grandparents.

Is this enough?

Name of English grandfather (whose full birth certificate we have) is on mother's birth certificate.
Name of mother is on applicant's birth certificate.

So, line can be traced from applicant to English grandparent.

Can we get an ancestry visa with this?

Thanks in advance.
