For all those worried about Family proceedings in Court:ILR

Post by Family » Mon Jan 09, 2012 10:33 am

Hi All,

Just to share with people applying for ILR that Family proceedings in courts including divorce, child custody, Maintenance Orders etc. are not to be disclosed in ILR application, as UKBA is not interested in knowing these. I rang UKBA Enquiry & Liverpool Office informed that they are not interested in family proceedings in court. What CCJ means is that judgment related to bankruptcy etc. Also Guide to Form AN(British Citizenship) clearly mentions that Family proceedings need not be mentioned.

Moderators may like to make it a sticky.

Hope this helps.

Could you tell me the UKBA Enquiry & Liverpool Office Number that you called to discuss about the above things?

My friend has some CCJ's registered against her name for unpaid debits ....credit cards and bank loans etc. She is not declared as a bankrupt. Does this effect to her ILR application? Does she need to declare this on her ILR application?
