i'm on tier 2 since sept 09, same with wife and kid. will renew around this august. back then when we applied there was no language requirement for dependents, but i've heard that with the new system the dependents are also subject to the language requirement. is this true?

my wife knows little English, she is improving, but i am afraid by august she may not be able to pass the language tests (IELTS, TOEFL or whatever). if she can't renew without the language, then we need to arrange for some ESOL classes.

why not check the latest requirements by downloading the application form and see what it says over there?
