Post by sameer9966 » Tue Jan 10, 2012 11:09 pm

HI ALL,

MY WIFE DUE TO APPLY FOR CITIZENSHIP SOON AFTER GAINING ILR THIS MONTH.

SHE HAS NI BUT SHE NEVER WORKED, SO SHE DID NOT HAVE ANY TAX REFERENCE ASWELL.

MY QUESTION IS WHETHER THIS AFFECT TO HER CITIZENSHIP AND ILR

No. There is no requirement to be employed when applying (or before).

Housewives/househusbands/stay at home mom/dad are also allowed to apply for BC if they meet the requirements.
