Top tip for dealing with Barclays - for statement reprints

Post by tonynz » Wed Jan 11, 2012 5:01 pm

The number to call is 0207 116 7488. (You will be prompted with options, use the option where you do not have a complaints number, then second menu 2 again)

They will do anything you ask for - including reprints to a local branch, printing on letter headed paper, cover letter.

Called them three times and each three times I have been delighted.

Thanks. Have you had any luck with getting them to post it out on next day delivery/first class?

No issues, no fuss, no cost.

Guy number 1 faxed it to the branch I was in and I could walk out with it

When I called back asking for stamps, she offered to print it on Barclays letterhead with a cover letter straight away and send it 1st class post.

tonynz, There's been no answer (keeps ringing) on this number all morning - can you double-check and confirm its the correct one? Thanks.

Guys, I bank with Lloyds Tsb. I got color print outs of my online bank account statement and then got that stamped at a local branch. In case you have trouble getting statements through the call centre (processing time might be upto 10 working days) online statement prints are the best and easiest option.

The guidance also states that online statement prints stamped by the bank will be acceptable. I hope this helps

Quicksam, did you also take a cover letter for the online stamped statements? My (potential) problem is I have got duplicate statements faxed to the branch, then signed and stamped, but didn't get a cover letter from them. Do the PEO folks ask for such a cover letter?

theroyale,

you necessarily don't need a cover letter from the bank. The stamped and signed statements should be good enough.

I think for your peace of mind, why don't you take the statements to a local branch and get them to write a cover letter for the same. The bank shouldn't have any issues giving the cover letter if you explain your situation.
