Citizenship-when an my wife apply?

Post by littlebush » Sun Jan 15, 2012 9:28 pm

Hi

I'm a UK Citizen (born here).
My wife currently has a residence permit via a spouse visa (FLR(M)).
I'm just wondering when she can apply for citizenship, is it 3 years from when she came to the UK or 3 years from when she got the residence permit?

The timescales for her are:

20/4/2011 - entered UK on Fiance Visa
4/10/11 - we got married
9/11/11 - start of residence permit

We will apply for ILR on 9/11/13 but what date can she apply for citizenship, would it be 20/4/14 or 9/11/14?

Thanks in advance

Dave
