letter of confirmation? certified?

Post by jimmurray » Tue Jan 17, 2012 9:21 pm

sorry asking a lot of questions of lately, but I am gearing up to a visa application so need to make sure all bases are covered...

is a letter of confirmation a statutory declaration? which can then be certified by a lawyer

Hi jimmurray

I only have the Sponsorship letter (which is a statutory declaration), I have got this certified by a solicitor. I signed the letter in front of the solicitor and got them stamp it.

I have also certified my Passport photograph/bio page certified as well from the same solicitor.

Everything else is just a plain/original letter from authorities or ourselves.

The sponsorship letter does not need to be certified by any solicitor.

Only your passports need to be certified by solicitors

Hi

Yup batleykhan is correct, I just did it because my agent got it sorted very quickly. Since I was refereed by my agent, the fees charged by the solicitors was very low:

Passport certified copy - £5 - I had my own colour copy of the passport, they just stamp and signed it.
Sposorship Letter signed - £10 - Same here, a copy of the declaration was given to me by the agent and the solicitors just stamped and signed it.

It was Ashton Page Solicitors - (http://www.ashtonpage.com/)

I am not sure if it is okay to post a link like above, mods please remove if you consider this advertisement.
