EEA2 after working in Germany

I am a Uk citizen with an Asian wife intending to work in Germany and then come back to the Uk. Can anyone tell me how long I have to work for in Germany before I can claim "treaty rights"? Is there any amount I have to earn, or any number of hours I have to work? Also would my wife'sd earnings and hours be taken into account?
