I did it at my last application, and did it on my application I just sent.

I can't see why not - they are humans not Nazis.

I did, its mentioned in either than guidance policy or the application form. Have a look

Yes, its mentioned in the Policy Guidance too. I used a highlighter.

Yes, u definitely can. I highlighted bank statemets n payslips n just got my residence permit.

No Staples. Just clips or even better use binder clips:
