You have a solicitor. Haven't they checked through your documents?

If the Embassy is closed, a letter from your solicitor won't make any difference.
You mention a 'photocopy' of your passport. Has this been legally certified?

he got mine wrong and I fired him...a solicitor is supposed to know more than you..what's the point otherwise, if you have to tell him?
