Post Nov-11 citizenship applicants

Post by sonnyhind » Wed Feb 15, 2012 12:09 pm

Hello

INIS mandated a processing fee of EUR175 for all naturalization applications submitted after 10 NOV 2011. The indication was that this was one of the ways to 'help' INIS meet their 6 month deadline for deciding an application.

Wondering how these applications are getting on, has anyone heard anything yet. I know its only about 3 months but have we seen any action yet.

I applied on 2nd Dec, and received an acknowledgement on 5th Dec! Havent heard anything back ever since.

Are there others on the board who applied in the new application format with the new fee? Whats the status of your applications? Please share any other insights if you have them?

I think we can only start "taking" things up with them if they are still unable to deliver after 6month.

Usually, there is very little to hear from them before then, especially if you have received your reference number.

All the best!

Too good to be true :) Another unrealistic expectation being set by INIS :(

What happens to all the checks with Garda etc? These guys are just unbelievable, almost like there is no standard as to how these applications are being managed!

Potentially, this guy will call back in a few months and he would either be told his file is now with the Garda or still on Minister's desk :)

Hopefully this comes back quickly so we can use this as a test case as to the new post payment regime...

All the best every one!
